Whether you are hosting a bake sale, study day or taking on a personal challenge it is a great choice to support your fellow midwives and MSWs who experience financial hardship.

Team RCM have often joined RCM members and taken part in raising funds by cycling from London to Paris, taking on distance running challenges, and more recently climbing Mount Snowdon – Wales highest mountain. If you are interested in fundraising with Team RCM, please get in touch with your regional or national officer to find out what the RCM have planned next.

By raising money you are helping to benefit members in need, but you are also helping to raise awareness of midwives and MSWs’ experience and encourages people to apply for the fund if they are struggling. It encourages people to donate to it, to support their colleagues in times of distress.

Here are some existing ways to fundraise through Cavell:

  • Feel the adrenaline rush – Conquer the UK’s highest free-falling abseil on 6 August 80m above Olympic Park, raising money as you drop.
  • The Snowdon challenge – join us on an inspiring day of personal achievement and collective fundraising aw we conquer Snowdon.
  • Host or compete – organise your own event or take a personal challenge like running, cycling or swimming.
  • Go the distance – challenge yourself to a long distance event this year! Walk, jog or run to fundraise.
