Blogger shares post-birth reality photos

Social media influencer, author and blogger, the Unmumsy Mum has shared pictures of the reality of post-birth.

Sarah Turner, who has 700,000 fans on social media, announced the birth of her third child in mid-December on her Facebook page The Unmumsy Mum.

She joked about how, a few hours post-birth, she was walking like John Wayne and wearing an adult nappy. Sarah posted a photo of her wearing nothing but a huge pair of paper pants.

She said that she initially had thought she couldn’t share the photo but then changed her mind.

‘It represents the postpartum reality so well – I was absolutely euphoric at this point, despite walking like John Wayne and wearing an adult nappy,’ she said.

Sarah also thanked the hospital that treated her so well and provided brilliant care.

‘Huge shout out to the midwives at the Royal Devon and Exeter Maternity Services (Rosie and student midwife Lottie were simply brilliant – so grateful for our NHS),’ said the post.

The Facebook post resonated with other mums, many of who had similar experiences and shared their thoughts. Hundreds of people commented on the post, many of them praising her for sharing the reality of childbirth.
