A midwifery lecturer at Birmingham City University is running the London Marathon on 23 April to raise money for the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust.
Senior lecturer Lee Wright said that he chose the charity because it had been so good to some of his students in funding their electives.
Although he is fit, the marathon comes just after a spell of recovery, he said.
‘I regularly train in a military style boot camp club, but I’m currently only just back from two major operations this year so I’m feeling a little anxious,’ said Lee.
Please consider sponsoring him so that he can raise as much as possible for The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust.
