RCM comments on reforms limiting scope of market in NHS commissioning

Commenting on proposals to establish legal reforms to limit the scope of the market in commissioning NHS services in England, Jon Skewes Executive Director for External Relations at the RCM said; “The RCM welcomes these sensible steps which will go someway to protect the NHS from prioritising predators, assist procurement processes and also allow for the creation of new NHS Trusts: for example where greater integration is required and local consultation supports it.” .
