To celebrate the International Day of the Midwife the RCM have had the annual Great Midwifery Cake Off competition. The cake with the most likes on Facebook will win a £200 gift voucher from voucherexpress.co.uk.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Entries to the Cake Off competition must be emailed to Idm.events@rcm.org.uk  
  2. All cakes should be the work of the person sending in their entry. Any entries that have been sent to the RCM that are not the entrant's own work will be taken out the competition.
  3. Photos of cakes from previous years cannot be entered. 
  4. This competition is open to all members of the Royal College of Midwives.
  5. Three photos of the cake at different angles must be provided to help the judges.
  6. The competition will open on Wednesday 14 March and it will close on 9 May 2018. Entries received after this date will not be included. Photographs will be put into a Facebook album for people to 'like' them. The winners will be announced on the RCM website, Twitter and Facebbok.
  7. By entering the competition the photographers grant the RCM a non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, the images for any purpose connected with the RCM and the competition.
  8. No purchase is necessary.
  9. An individual prize ofa £200 gift voucher from voucherexpress.co.uk will be awarded to the baker of the photo that has the most 'likes' on Facebook. The prize is non-transferable and no cash replacement will be awarded.
  10. Participants can only enter once. If participants enter more than once, only their first entry will be valid. Previous winners in the last 3 years may not enter.
  11. The RCM's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. The RCM will not accept responsibility for any loss resulting from a technical fault, incomplete, illegible or otherwise damaged entries.
