SMF host student midwives’ celebration event
On Wednesday 15 June, the RCM is holding a Student Midwives’ Celebration Day to celebrate the commitment of midwifery students to the profession. We want to recognise the amazing contribution that midwifery students have made to the NHS and to the profession, particularly during the last two difficult years.
The RCM’s Student Midwife Forum (SMF) will be holding a virtual event on 15 June at 4pm to celebrate with fellow students. This is also an opportunity for RCM student members to meet some of the SMF.
The event will be hosted by two of the SMF: Shauna McCabe (Queen’s University, Belfast) and Lucy Richards (University of South Wales). They will be able to share their reasons for putting themselves forward for SMF and let you know about the work they are doing with the RCM. They also want to hear your views about the issues you are facing and what you would like them to raise on your behalf.
We will be holding the event through our virtual classroom on i-learn so you will need to log into i-learn to access the event. Shauna and Lucy look forward to meeting you!
