New 10p coin to represent NHS

on 05 March 2018 NHS

As the NHS turns 70 this year the Royal Mint has launched an NHS 10p coin to mark the milestone.

The coin forms part of an A to Z of ‘quintessential Britain’ with the world famous NHS representing the letter ‘N’. Other coins include ‘B’ for Bond, ‘S’ for Stonehenge and ‘T’ for Tea.

The NHS 10p coin is a perfect way to celebrate the birthday, reminding people about the vital role the service plays and recognising the extraordinary NHS staff who are always there to greet, advise and provide care.

People are being encouraged to ‘hunt’ for the different coins and to take a picture and share it via social media using #coinhunt and #NHS70 if they find one with an ‘N’.
