Thank you from the Benevolent Fund of the RCM Trust

On behalf of the Committee to the Benevolent Fund of the RCM Trust, I would like to thank all our generous donors.

In 2015 the Fund has been able to help over 30 members of the profession, distributing almost £20,000.  A special ‘thank you’ goes to branches, particularly Mansfield, Perthshire, Bristol and District, Calderdale and Huddersfield and Waltham Forest, who raised over £1,000. Grateful thanks are also sent to the RCM’s partners who donated the prizes for the RCM’s Annual Conference prize draw, helping to raise almost £500, and to everyone who contributed to the collection from the Scottish Centenary celebrations which raised almost £400.

Thank you very much for helping us to sustain the only Benevolent Fund specifically for midwives and those in the midwifery profession.

With best wishes for the festive season.

Lynne Pacanowski, Chair

What is the Benevolent Fund of the RCM Trust?

The Benevolent Fund of the RCM Trust is set up to provide financial help for members of our community, both current and retired midwifery staff and maternity support workers who are facing a difficult period in their lives. They could be the midwife or maternity support worker that you see at work, your fellow student midwife, or anyone around you.

The Benevolent Fund of the RCM Trust relies on donations and works with a relatively small income to offer some financial support to midwives and MSWs in need. Your generosity is needed, not just now, but all year round, to support this Fund and each other. Make the Benevolent Fund your special charity, raise awareness and funds through your activities – sponsored walks, cycle rides, cake stalls every penny is welcome and will be put to good use.

Any amount you are able to give will go directly to helping one or more of your colleagues.

Please consider giving to the RCM Trust Benevolent Fund today.
