This is the feedback we got from Dionne, who attending with her business LoveFromDeda and did massages all day;
“Yesterday, we came to St. Mary's Hospital to cater to the midwives on international midwives day, we provided a calming, mindful, welcoming, holistic atmosphere for all involved to enter and feel at ease. Many of those that came for the experience entered with clear visual stress and tension within their bodies and we were overwhelmed with happiness to see and hear the shift in their energy and stance. I personally, was very pleased to not only feel but to also see the tension release from their bodies.  The midwives were very happy with their 15 minutes of massage therapy/ talk therapy and many stated how grateful they were and how they felt so much more relaxed”.

Feedback from some of the Midwives
“Dione and Marika are lovely ladies! They were very welcoming and professional and made you feel at ease. Dione gave me an amazing back massage. She instinctively found my knots and tension and soothed them away with what I can only describe as hot, healing hands! I felt destressed afterwards - it was a real privilege to have met Dione!”

“This was fantastic. They were both very approachable. I really enjoyed my 15 min! I was able to relax and feel comfortable!”

North Manchester did a Tombola and hampers for staff to help themselves including fruit boxes and gift bags for staff.

The unit celebrated with raffles and staff brought in cakes and doughnuts.  Michelle and Karabo went around the unit giving out cakes from the RCM branch and we gave members of the RCM a £25 Amazon voucher to show our appreciation of all their hard work and especially working through the pandemic. RCM cups were also given out and greatly received. Community midwives were also sent cakes too to help them celebrate IDM 2022.
