Regional Officer: South of England

The Royal College of Midwives is offering a secondment opportunity to a registered Midwife and RCM Workplace Representative to gain experience as an RCM Regional Officer in the South of England for 11 months.

The successful candidate will join the Regional Officer team providing advice, support and representation to members requiring professional or employment relations services, organising and engaging with local branches, supporting local WPR’s and delivering on the RCM’s strategic objectives.

The post will be field based with a home office and require travel within a geographical area and a flexible approach to time and workload management.

The successful candidate will:

  • have an up to date WPR development log on RCM’s iLearn
  • have excellent administrative and communication skills  have casework experience
  •  be an innovative thinker  have strong organising and engagement abilities
  •  have strong IT skills
  •  leadership traits
  •  be flexible, adaptable and outcome focused
