Vinalac is a probiotic supplement designed to provide
extra dietary requirements for pregnant mothers with a family history
of allergy during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
It contains the probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus,
which given in the last trimester of pregnancy and throughout
breastfeeding, has been shown to reduce the frequency of eczema by 49%
in at-risk infants at two years old.
It also contains folic acid and 20 other vitamins and
minerals. Ideally, the tablets should be taken before and during
pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
