Breastfeeding in public

Midwives magazine: June/July 2009

Breastfeeding in public
The baby babette is a cover designed to provide privacy for mother and baby while breastfeeding in public places. The cover, developed by GP and mother Arabella Sargent is lightweight and does not restrict baby’s breathing and can help them feed without distraction. The baby babette is wide enough at the neck so that the baby can be seen clearly to make sure the latch is correct, and long enough to cover a mother’s stomach. The reverse of the cover is made of muslin.

The baby babette is available at: www.babybabette.co.uk and they cost £11.50.
