A team of nine RCM staff (some pictured) will be donning helmets and bikes to take part in a gruelling 300-mile London to Paris bike ride in May 2012 in support of the National Maternity Support Foundation (NMSF).
RCM general secretary Cathy Warwick – who will be participating in the charity event – said: ‘Here at the RCM we work in partnership with NMSF to consult closely with them on issues surrounding maternity care. I take great pleasure in acting as the NMSF lead patron and am thrilled to be joining my staff in this worthy and, I’m sure, tiring challenge as we raise money for a great cause.’
The NMSF was set up following the tragic stillbirth of Jake Canter due to the nearest hospital maternity unit being closed.
