Success at RCM Awards

Hundreds packed into a top-end London venue to celebrate excellence in midwifery at the RCM awards.
The awards were held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden yesterday (25 January) and were hosted by newsreader and presenter Natasha Kaplinsky.
There were 13 awards in total, ranging from promoting normal birth, to innovation in midwifery, to team of the year.
RCM chief executive Cathy Warwick made a speech at the start of the event in which she praised the great work that is being done by members.
She said: ‘We know it’s tough out there, it’s a hard world we are working in. It’s incredibly important that we remember just how great it is to be a midwife.’
The winners were announced and collected their awards after a three-course lunch. They are:
