RCM Alliance partner Mothercare is holding informal advice points during 19-25 June within their stores, to encourage and assist new mothers looking to gain information and advice on breastfeeding.
RCM general secretary Cathy Warwick said: ‘It is a wonderful opportunity to take the message about breastfeeding to a wide audience across the country. It also highlights the value of seeking support and advice from a midwife.’
She also expressed her ‘disappointment’ that the government has stopped the annual initiative on breastfeeding, saying that it is a ‘short-sighted decision that will have repercussions for the future’.
