New stickers and posters for midwives

Posted: 16 April 2012 by Rob Dabrowski

A charity that aims to empower mothers-to-be during their pregnancy has launched a new range of stickers and posters.

My kicks count!
Count the Kicks, which focuses on helping pregnant women gain knowledge and confidence, is behind the free materials.

They are designed to be put up and distributed in hospitals, birth centres and doctors’ surgeries.

The charity wants to encourage women to be open and honest with midwives about any concerns and report any changes to their health and their baby’s development.

In doing so, it hopes high-risk pregnancies will be flagged up and the risk of stillbirth and neonatal death reduced.

Midwives can request batches of the new free stickers, which have space for midwives to write contact numbers and are designed for mothers-to-be to take away with them.

The charity is also able to post out leaflets, posters and movement monitoring charts, which are also available to download for free from its website.
