The RCM commissioned independent research organisation Income Data Services to conduct a survey of members’ opinions on the proposed changes to the NHS pension scheme.
This gave members the chance to tell the RCM their thoughts about the potential changes to the scheme. The responses will be looked at by the RCM as taking action is considered.
The Department of Health (DH) has launched a consultation document, which proposes that the contribution rate of members’ pensions is increased. The NHS trade unions are entering into negotiations with the DH and NHS Employers about the changes, which are outlined in the Hutton review.
