Research into morning sickness recently published by the Cochrane Library drew widespread media attention with its claim that there is no cure.

The RCM responded by highlighting that there was evidence, albeit limited, on the efficacy of ginger, acupressure and some antihistamines (reflected in NICE guidelines) and vitamin B6. However, advice to midwives and other health professionals is be careful not to overstate their value.
