According to Doula UK, there are approximately 1000 doulas currently working in the UK and, following a recent survey it conducted, doulas attended around 2000 births in the UK last year

What has been your experience of doulas? Do they make your job as midwife easier or has there been instances where they have proved more of a hindrance than a help?
