Membership means you can be prepared for professional life ahead and know you have the backing of the UKs leading organisation for midwives and midwifery.
Latest Student / NQ research
This is the third year that the Royal College of Midwives has conducted a survey of newly qualified midwives to investigate their experiences of finding a job. Using Birthrate Plus methodology the RCM calculates that there is currently a total shortage of 4,787 midwives in the UK; despite this shortage the RCM continues to find that newly qualified midwives are unable to secure a post as a midwife.
