Breastfeeding Innovations Grant

Philips avent

Supported by RCM Alliance Partner Philips Avent, administered by the RCM

An annual grant of £10,000 has been provided to encourage the take up and/or improved duration of breastfeeding.

The grant is funded through the partnership between the RCM and Philips Avent, to help mothers breastfeed for longer.

It is open to all practising UK midwives who are RCM members wishing to fund a new initiative to support breastfeeding or the roll out of a pilot project. The scheme should focus on a defined population and have clear objectives and a process for evaluating outcomes.

Application process:

To apply for the 2014 grant, please complete ALL sections of the following application form and submit the completed form and a full project plan by email to sharon.allison@rcm.org.uk, with your name, membership number and the project name. Applications must be submitted no later than 31st January 2014.

Selection process

Applications will be shortlisted and those successful will be asked to come to the RCM office at 15 Mansfield Street and to present their ideas before a panel including the sponsor.
