RCM Annual Conference

2010
The RCM Annual Conference 2010 will again be held at Manchester Central from 16-17 November. Click here to visit the Annual Conference website.

2009
The RCM Annual Conference 2009 was held at Manchester Central from 26-27 November. The theme for this year was "Pioneering the Mother and Baby Pathway".
This annual conference and exhibition is the premier event where those working in midwifery and with mother and babies come together, to learn about, debate and discuss the key challenges and opportunities midwives face as a profession.
The purpose of this year’s conference was to:
- Discuss key challenges around safety and quality through improved care planning systems and more targeted resources
- Look towards Midwifery 2020 and reviewing progress towards greater flexibility and workforce development, including new roles and whether we are really ‘following the woman’ on the care pathway
- Learn about reductions in maternity mortality rates, considering inequalities, diversity and migration issues
- Learn more about The White Ribbon Campaign and global safe motherhood
