We have developed a variety of open learning resources and other publications for midwives to help them develop their portfolio and meet their PREP requirements.
Transition to Parenting
This is an innovative educational resource that seeks to assist midwives to promote secure, nurturing relationships between parents and newborn babies. It is a five-booklet pack:
Unit 1 - Introduction
Unit 2 - Changing social context of parenting
Unit 3 - Transition to motherhood
Unit 4 - Transition to fatherhood
Unit 5 - Normal behaviour of the newborn baby
Brown Study Series
This series has been developed to encourage midwives to think deeply and reflect upon all aspects of midwifery practice. They will enable midwives to think creatively about how they practise and provide woman-centred care. Each resource has an extensive reading list, further reading and useful website addresses.
