Strategic Leadership Programme

A three-day development programme aimed at Midwifery Professionals who have already attended the development centre or a similarly robust self-assessment programme and want to develop their ability to work strategically within the profession.

The cost includes two nights accommodation and meals – you will need to meet your own travel costs.

Dates: 15, 16, 17 February 2011

Venue: London

Cost: £1,650 (inclusive of food and accommodation, exclusive of VAT)

A discounted rate is available if places are booked on the Development centre and the Strategic Leadership Programme.

Background

The MHS Modernisation Agency Midwifery Leadership Programme development workbook arose from the Head of Midwifery Development Centres that were run during 2002. It aims to provide midwifery managers with learning support to enable them to develop the critical midwifery leadership competencies:

-- develop a vision
-- think strategically and systematically
-- drive change
-- influence others
-- communicate effectively

The workbook is based around a realistic but fictitious case study set in South Shires University Hospital NHS Trust.
