National Maternity Support Foundation

NHS Evidence - health management
Provided by NICE, NHS Evidence is a new service which will develop, enhance and expand the services that were previously provided by the National Library for Health (NLH). The aim of the health management specialist collection is to provide timely and efficient access to high quality information resources for health managers, clinical managers and leaders, and those involved in commissioning health services.

 

Pelvic Instability Network Scotland (PINS)
Pelvic Instability Network Scotland (PINS) is a  registered Scottish Charity which has been set up to support people with Pelvic Girdle Pain (formerly Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction or SPD). PINS charity work covers the UK and overseas.

 

RCPCH - Medicines for Children

Medicines for Children, a newly launched website and expanding information service,  helps parents when they need to give medicines to their children at home.  Medicines for Children currently provides online or printed leaflets giving free, practical and reliable information on over 100 key medicines.

 

Save the Children

The world’s independent children’s charity, outraged that millions of children are still denied proper healthcare, food, education and protection and who are working flat out to get every child their rights.

The Pelvic Partnership
The Pelvic Partnership is a group of women, all volunteers, with personal experience of Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD), which is now known as Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP).

 

Working Families
Working Families is a charity which gives free advice on maternity and paternity rights and the right to work flexibly. We also help with employment rights, benefits and maternity discrimination. Our helpline team gets a lot of calls from midwives who are advising pregnant/new mums on their maternity rights and right to work flexible hours.

 

Working Together with Parents Network (WTWPN)

WTWPN exists to support any proffesional or volunteer working with parents with learning disabilites or learning difficulties.

 

World Health Organization

WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends

United Nations Millennium Development Goals
