NEW: Survey of NHS health professionals 2012
The trade unions and professional associations representing staff in the NHS have commissioned Incomes
Data Services (IDS), an independent research organisation, to carry out an online survey of all their

professional associations to the NHS Pay Review Body, which makes recommendations to the Government
on the level of pay and pay-related terms and conditions for NHS staff.

As a NHS employee we invite you to complete this survey, which asks you what it is like to work in the NHS
at the moment, as well as more specific questions about your workload and general working conditions.

The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes  to complete and is completely anonymous. The more
responses we receive the stronger ou r evidence will be, so your particip ation is very much appreciated.

Student survey
The RCM is inviting every student midwife in the UK to participate in the RCM 2nd Annual Survey for student midwives. The survey comprises of 4 sections, dedicated to exploring the student midwives’ learning experiences, their perceptions of quality of care received by women, their communication behaviour with the RCM and their biographical details.

The survey findings will be published at the student midwives conference in Brighton on 13th November 2012. The findings will be used to shape the RCM services and influence the education commissioners and providers to meet the student midwives needs during their midwifery education programmes.
