• Mandate from the Government to the NHS Commissioning Board - April 2013 to March 2015  

This briefing summarises the Secretary of State’s mandate to the NHS Commissioning Board for 2013 to 2015. The Commissioning Board will be responsible for the performance of the NHS in England and the mandate sets out the key objectives that the Board will be accountable for delivering against. A number of the objectives relate to the performance of maternity services.

• Strategic Clinical Networks Single Operating Framework 

This briefing summarises the operating framework for the new Clinical Strategic Networks that are due to be established in 2013. The framework outlines the key responsibilities and governance arrangements of the networks (which includes Maternity and Children’s Strategic Clinical Networks) and the way in which networks will be aligned with the new health and care system in England.
