Pensions Campaign

Pensions Consultation

After months of negotiations with the Departments of Health and NHS Employers the NHS Trade Unions, including the Royal College of Midwives have to make a decision whether to accept of reject the Government’s final offer on pensions.

In January the RCM Board met and discussed the Government’s final offer and decided that we will consult with members before making a final decision. We are asking you if you would like to accept or reject the Government’s final offer.

This is your chance to have your say on your pension.

You should be aware that while you can reject the Government’s final offer this is the best that can be achieved through negotiations and therefore if you do choose to reject the offer you will have to be prepared to take serious and sustained industrial action. Industrial action does not guarantee a better offer and may result in a worse offer being imposed.

The consultation papers will be sent out to you in the post during March/April.

You will be able to find out more information by clicking here

Make sure you respond – this is your chance to have your say on your pension.
